After School Club

Our after outdoor learning/ garden club will be starting again on Tuesday 17th January 2018. This club is available to all pupils in year 1 and 2.

Bug Hunt
Our after school garden club took part in the OPAL (Open Air Laboratories) big bug count survey this week, surveying all the different environments in our school garden. Bugs, or invertebrates, are a vital part of our environment. They can pollinate plants, recycle nutrients, and they provide an important food source for birds and mammals. We have now submitted our survey findings to OPAL which will help scientists learn more about the distribution of invertebrates across the country and how the urban environment may be affecting them. We found lots of different bugs in our garden, check out the results below.
